Looking to change yourself into a Christmas Elf for the Holidays? Well, if you do no dress up as Santa Claus over the winter your next best choice is an Elf Costume!
What is a Christmas Elf?
The Christmas Elf is a short “being” that assists Santa Claus on his Christmas endeavor. A modern depiction of the Elf helps Saint Nicholas assemble toys for children of the world. They assemble the toys in the North Pole where Santa loads up high sleigh on December 24 and 25th to make deliveries.
Where do I get an Elf Costume?
Shopping for an Elf costume is much easier and cheaper than a Santa Costume. Most of the outfits are fairly affordable but if you do no want to purchase one and would rather make it yourself there is always that option. There are a few things that you want to get right when making yours at home, as long as you get these few item correct than it would be hard not to be able to make your homemade costume look authentic.
- Pointed ears: One of the most significant features that you need to accomplish your homemade elf suit. Be sure to create your own or purchase a pair from your local super store.
- Pointed shoes: Elves have pointed shoes and ears! Be sure the ends curl up slightly at the ends. YOu do no necessarily need to buy a point of curled pointed shoes, you can make a slip that will cover your current pair.
- Christmas colors: for the most part a few colors are significant to the Elf, Red, Green, and Black (not alot of black). As long as you stick with Christmas colors you will be fine.
- Elf hat (NOT a Santa Hat): Possibly the hardest part of the entire outfit. If you cannot make one then buy one! Be sure it is a holiday color though!
