1. oompa loompa wig!
A green wig is an essential accessory to dress up as an umpa lumpa. Remember, the umpalumpa is straight out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so he is crazzyY!!! Don’t be afraid to go green! If you can’t afford a wig, uou can also use your own hair and use hair coloring if it is long enough.
2. Red Face Paint!
Actually, the color should look more like burnt Orange face paint. You can get this at your local hobby shop or favorite discount store for pretty cheap – stay away from the costume shop or you’ll be charged more money! Another cost-saving cheap alternative is to substitute with brown and tan face paint if you are looking for cheaper costs! Here’s a photo of a real umpa lumpa so you get an idea of what it should look like. Yes, the red face paint should actually cover your whole entire face!!
3. Painter’s Overalls
White overall for the umpa lumpa can be found at your local thrift shop or online. You can find white painters overalls too and most likely you will find these at your local discount store too.
4. Willy Wonka TShirt
The Tshirt every good umpa lumpa wears is a plain old Brown shirt! Easy enough! Find this at a local tshirt shop or your discount store for about five bucks.
5. White gloves
The umpa lumpa’s costume is not complete until it is decked out with a pair of white gloves! Best tip here is to stay away from the expensive halloween stores and just go to a local walmart and get a pair of simple white gloves so you’re not paying a golden ticket of expense!
